HOPE AND A RENEWED SENSE OF WELLBEING ARE POSSIBLE WHEN WE BECOME CURIOUS ABOUT OUR LINE OF THINKING AND WAYS OF BEHAVING.  As a therapist, I believe that positive personal growth and healing happen within the context of a safe, authentic, and trusting relationship.  My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based relational therapy and combines training in narrative therapy, trauma-informed treatment, cognitive behavioural therapy, and contemporary research in neurobiology and mindfulness.  I approach psychotherapy as a highly collaborative and transparent process and offer both brief and long-term service.

 

As a culturally-informed therapist, I pay careful attention to how inner emotional life and identity develop in relationship to environment, family of origin, as well as cultural and social influences and expectations.  In the safety of the therapeutic relationship, one may bravely explore current difficulties, be reminded of inherent strengths, explore coping strategies and solutions, and ultimately strengthen resilience.  Our work together is intended to help you create a life that reflects your values, aspirations, and interests so that ultimately, you achieve a greater sense of wellbeing and experience more joy in connection to yourself and others.
